Hourly Service - You Break It, We Fix It

It's very hard to find a DFW business that doesn't depend on computers to keep going.  If your business vehicle breaks down, you can rent another - but what do you do when your Quickbooks server crashes?  If your network goes out and your employees can't get to their email or to shared server files, how much work can your employees get done?

We fix computers, we fix servers, and we help you keep your business running.  We can also help you build networks from scratch, retool what you have, upgrade software systems, move users on workstations, find an internet service provider... that and much more at a competitive hourly rate.

Technogizmo Service Call and Project Rates

For onsite computer and server visits, we charge an onsite rate of $115/hour (one hour minimum).  We do not typically charge any "trip" charges for far away clients, but if we did, you would be told in advance.  We also do not charge for phone help or remote-access help if it's follow-up for any onsite visit.

Here is a list of the most common onsite services we do for our hourly clients:

  • troubleshoot slow or non-responsive systems
  • troubleshoot workstation/server network connection problems
  • shared printer connection issues
  • replace broken hardware
  • migrate user and data files from an old workstation to a new one
  • software and hardware upgrades
  • supervise other technology vendors (such as data cable installation, or internet services)
  • Diagnose and clean off viruses, trojans, and other bad-ware
    Note:  depending on the infection source, some virus cleans can take several hours.  For those cases, we offer a flat rate price of $250 for this service if we are allowed to take the computer to our offices for cleaning.  Turnaround time for this service is two business days.

Special Projects - we are happy to bid a project in advance.  We do so based on an estimation of time it will take to complete the project.  If we end up exceeding that time, there is no extra charge to you (provided there were no extra jobs added to the project).  Some of the most common projects we are retained to do:

  • Office moves (preparing computer network for move, coordinating with other technology vendors, setting network back up)
  • Network expansions
  • Server upgrades and installations
  • Installation of backup systems
  • Router installation and upgrades
